Traditional Vedic Puja and Homa
The Mount Shasta Foundation co-sponsors the performance of traditional Vedic Puja (ceremonial worship) and Homa (fire ceremony), on behalf of individuals and families seeking spiritual support and spiritual healing. Various Brahmin priests from nearby temples are carefully selected and appointed to organize, supervise, and perform these sacred temple rituals. By prior arrangement, a puja or homa can be performed for all Hindu deities and festivals, including Ganesha Puja (removing obstacles, intelligence, writing ability, astrology); Navagraha Puja (for pacifying the Nine Cosmic Forces which influence human destiny); Mahamrityunjaya Puja (for health, protection against accidents, peaceful death, negative planetary influences), Lakshmi Puja (for blessings of the Divine Mother for prosperity), Sri Chakra Puja (for blessings of the Divine Mother for material success together with Spiritual Liberation), and Durga Puja (for relief from major illnesses and oppressive conditionsn in life). If you cannot be physically present for the ceremony, you can still participate and receive the spiritual blessings invoked during the ceremonies. Please send us your photograph or letter, which will be placed next to the altar during the ceremonies. Offerings will be made on your behalf, and your photograph or letter will act as an antenna through which spiritual energies will be broadcast to you. All participants who have participated in puja in this manner have reported that they felt a definite, spiritual blessing during the time of the puja, as well as tangible changes in the areas of life which were of concern to them. Suggested donation: $201 for an individual, or $301 for an entire extended family. For more information, please send e-mail to Stephen Quong, or mail your photograph and tax-deductible donation check, made payable to "The Mount Shasta Foundation", c/o Stephen Quong, P.O. Box 4524, Antioch, CA 94531. May all Divine Blessings be with you! 2008 Schedule of Pujas (Pacific Time Zone):
